Barbie Forteza confirmed that she and fellow actor Jak Roberto have ended their relationship after seven years of being together, but she didn’t reveal the cause of their split.

Forteza announced on her Instagram account on Thursday, Jan. 2, that she and Roberto had already parted ways while referring to their split as a “beautiful goodbye.”

“’Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened – Dr. Seuss. Having you in my life was the happiest I had ever been. Seven wonderful years. A lot of laughs, a lot of ramen and so much love. Your love was exceptional,” she said while sharing photos of their past dates in an intimate restaurant and a shake shop.

In her post, the actress expressed her gratitude to Roberto for “loving [her] the way [he] did,” and at the same time said their relationship had to “fall apart” for “better things” to come together.

“But sometimes, good things fall apart so better things can come together. Beautiful goodbye, @jakroberto. Thank you for loving me the way you did. I am excited for what’s to come for the both of us. You take care of yourself. May you find the love you deserve,” she wrote.

Following the confirmation, Forteza appealed to her supporters to keep matters involving their relationship between them.

“I hope for everyone’s understanding and I wish you can help us put this matter to rest,” she said.

Meanwhile, the actor has yet to issue a statement addressing their split, as of this writing.

Dubbed as JakBie or BarJak, Forteza and Roberto were one of the longest-lasting celebrity couples from GMA. They worked together on projects such as “Meant to Be” and “Kara Mia,” with the actress often making appearances on her ex-boyfriend’s YouTube channel.

Following their onscreen partnership, the exes established their solo careers within the Kapuso network. The actor took on leading man roles in the dramas “Bolera” and “The Missing Husband.” Forteza, on the other hand, is known for her acting prowess, and her love team with David Licauco has also gained a strong following.

Despite this, Forteza and Roberto managed to maintain their relationship, with the actress expressing her gratitude to the latter for being “understanding” throughout the entirety of their relationship.

The performance of the world’s biggest economy has become a key factor for voters as the United States gears up for its presidential election in November.

The publisher warned Wednesday that the game would now only hit shelves on February 14, instead of mid-November – in time for the crucial holiday season – as announced.
