A man and a child remain missing a day after a Navy speedboat crashed into a ferry off Mumbai's coast. As per the police, a total of 113 people on the ferry and the speedboat, 13 died and 98 were injured.

As per police officials, the missing people have been identified as 3-year-old Hansraj Bhati and seven-year-old Johan Mohammad Nisar Ahmed Pathan.

As the rescue operations continue, an FIR has also been filed against the driver of the Navy speedboat.

The FIR was filed against the driver at Mumbai's Colaba police station by 22-year-old survivor Natharam Chaudhary, resident of Mumbai's Sakinaka area.

13 Dead After Navy Speedboat Collides With Passenger Ferry

On Wednesday, a navy speedboat crashed into a ferry carrying over 100 passengers. Around 3:55 PM, the passenger ferry named "Neelkamal" capsized.

Rescue operations were launched and a total of 113 people have been rescued. 13 people were declared dead, including two children.

As per Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, the rescue operation is underway and a final statement will be issued by the government once the search mission has concluded.

An ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakhs has also been announced for the families of the deceased. The funds will be provided from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund.

"Near Mumbai, on Buchar Island, a passenger vessel named Neelkamal capsized around 3:55 pm after colliding with a Navy boat. So far, 101 people have been rescued, but 13 lives have been lost as of 7:30 pm. Among the deceased, 10 were civilians, and three were Navy personnel. Two critically injured individuals are being treated at Navy Dockyard Hospital," said CM Fadnavis.

Ji-Hyun Yan scored the only South Korean goal that came in the 30th minute of the clash. 

As per a Navy spokespersonhot646, the speedboat lost control during engine trials in Mumbai Harbor and the accident occurred due to an engine malfunction.
